pic that says time for testing

RISE State Assessments are scheduled next week April 29 – May 1, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM each day. These assessments are an important opportunity for students to demonstrate their growth and for us to gather valuable information that helps guide our teaching and support.

We truly need the support of our parents and families during these three days. Here’s how you can help:

  • Ensure Attendance: Please have your child present and on time each day of testing. Consistent attendance ensures they receive the full benefit of the assessment.

  • Protect Testing Time: To maintain a quiet and focused environment, we ask that students not be checked out between 8:00 and 11:00 AM, unless there is an emergency. Interruptions during this time can disrupt the entire class, and we are unable to call into classrooms until students are on their scheduled break.

  • Fuel for Focus: A good night’s sleep and a nutritious breakfast each morning will help your child stay alert and confident.

  • Encourage Positivity: Talk with your child about the importance of doing their best and reassure them that their effort is what matters most.

  • Create a Supportive Environment: Limit screen time in the evenings, provide a quiet space for homework or review, and check in with your child about how they’re feeling.
